Foreign diplomats explained that the concept of "international sponsor of war" prevents assistance to Ukraine in its fight against the Russian Federation. Ukrainian officials agreed with them, so they will no longer use this term. The concept of "International Sponsor of War", which uses the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACC), has no legal grounds for its existence. In addition, the NSDC maintains its sanction lists, so there is no need to duplicate information.

Based on these considerations, as well as on the appeal of foreign diplomats, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to close access to the NACC sanction register. The press service of the department told about discussing the issue of international sponsors of the war. The Cabinet of Ministers press service stated that on March 20, an extended meeting was held, which was attended by a number of officials involved in the sanction policy of Ukraine.

In addition to officials, diplomats of eight countries were present: the United States, Belgium, Finland, Greece, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, China, and a representative of the European Union. According to the Cabinet's decision, users will soon lose the opportunity to see the names of companies that have been working in the Russian Federation for the third year in a row. Instead, they will be redirected to the portal of the Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC), where they will see the State Register of Sanctions. During the discussion, the issue was voiced about the NAPC sanction resource.
