"Another mechanism has not yet been invented": the Council called the condition for negotiations of Ukraine and the Russian Federation

The politician expressed his thoughts on various information published by Western media about the possibility that Ukraine's partners can encourage Kiev to negotiate with Moscow. He also revealed the position of our country on this issue.
"From the point of view of the negotiations, which are spoken by representatives of the Russian politicum - they constantly dream of negotiations," Venislavsky said. According to the People's Deputy, the Kremlin is well aware that it will not be able to achieve any political and military results on the eve of the election of the President of the Russian Federation in March 2024.
"They are constantly publicly declared that they are ready for negotiations, but Ukraine is not ready and does not want to negotiate," the politician said. In addition, he pointed out the decision that the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, which was approved by the Presidential Decree, adopted. The appropriate decision emphasizes the inability to negotiate with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
"Therefore, undoubtedly, the NSDC decision is a completely adequate political reaction to the unprovoked aggressive war that Russia has begun and wages against our country and which is the destruction of us, as a nation and our national statehood," Venislavsky says.
The presidential representative in the Council also noted that another legal mechanism for the end of the full-scale war, except for the conclusion of a "some peace treaty, which is usually the parties to the military conflict, perhaps guarantees may have not yet been invented in international law.
" "Therefore, from a legal point of view, the Law of Ukraine on International Treaties of Ukraine, the Vienna Convention on the Law of International Treaties will actually become the legal basis that a future peace agreement will be concluded," the politician said. According to the People's Deputy, Zelensky has already identified clear guidelines, namely: the war can end only in full de -occupation of the entire territory of Ukraine. "Only after that you can lead some negotiations.

According to the official, the only proposal of the aggressor country is the surrender of Ukraine and the fixing of territories that the occupiers managed to capture. Podolyak noted that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation laid hundreds of thousands of fighters on the territory of Ukraine, and Russia seeks to "break" Ukrainians.
