"It was like labor camps," the husband said. "I used to be healthy, but now I have problems with my heart. My wife disabled, she had diabetes. We were without medicine . . . " According to officers of the Ukrainian army, they remember scenes of murders, torture and rapes that were found after Russian troops were rejected from Bucha. For comparison, the Kyiv region was occupied for about a month, while Kharkiv region - six times longer. The head of the investigative police department of the region Sergey Bolvinov says that in almost every liberated village there is a testimony of war crimes.

"We check the places where they were reported, and we are investigating everything," Bolvinov explained. In the early days of a large-scale Russian invasion, 63-year-old Maria Grigogore found the bodies of her neighbors shot in their home. The village was surrounded by Russian troops, the woman contacted the police, whose representatives advised her to bury the bodies, but noted information about a possible military crime.

Even after his liberation, when the police brigade excavated the bodies, Maria told how she discovered the dead men - her neighbor Ilhama Mehteyev and his friend Konstantin Pogorelov, who came to visit. According to her, they were killed in the head, the bodies lay in the house in a puddle of blood. The woman does not know why they were killed and says she was very scared.

Since April, there is no light in her village, she says she is concerned about the approach of winter and the possible return of Russians. According to one of the police, on February 26 or 27, during the advancement of the Russian troops shot a local security guard, his body was left to decompose on the tower. Another grave was found in the garden of one of the houses. 55-year-old Vasyl Boronov told reporters about how his brother Sergei was killed.
