Belarusian border guards with weapons crossed the Lithuanian border: the Foreign Ministry reacted

In the Lithuanian State Border Service, Belarusian border guards patrols on their side and walked along the border with a snow -covered territory. They approached the destroyed patrol bridge on their side, after which they turned and crossed the border line. After the Belarusian border guards reached the built fence in Lithuania, they returned. It is reported that the actions of colleagues observed the border guards of Lithuania, but there were no need to interfere.

It is noted that due to the illegal crossing of the border in Lithuania, they plan to start a pre -trial investigation. The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry responded to this incident and stated that the Belarusian border guards had passed about 400 meters in Lithuania. The next day, on January 23, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned a temporary attorney for Belarus and awarded a diplomatic note and expressed a decisive protest against violations of Lithuania, which is not the first time.

In the ministry, Belarus is explained to the incident and take the necessary measures to prevent such actions from repeating. It should be added that this is not the first case when Lithuania reports the breach of Belarusian border guards. So, as the media wrote, in the spring of last year, the Lithuanian State Border Service has twice declared the border violation by the border guards of the neighboring state. Then Belarus also sent a note of protest.
