The mayor of the city Alexander Kodola confirmed a blow to the large oil depot. More than 20 units of special equipment were required to eliminate the fire and the consequences. The fire destroyed a large amount of property of the enterprise. One of the rescuers was poisoned during the elimination of the fire, and after the extinguishing was the second arrival at the beginning of 23:00. As a result, three rescuers suffered shrapnel wounds, the mayor said.

According to the mayor, Nizhyn was the highest air attack on September 14 for the entire extent of the full -scale invasion of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The attack lasted more than 16 hours, Nizhyn attacked dozens of drones, there were several hits in the objects of critical infrastructure. The wreckage of one of the drones fell in the city center. In total, the Chernihiv region was firing 42 times in the last day of the Russian Federation, 81 explosions occurred.
