People need people for demobilization: the Armed Forces officer replied how many Ukrainians need to call
The serviceman of the 59 OMPB of the Armed Forces Pavel Petrychenko stressed that in the conditions of war in Ukraine, a reserve was required for demobilization. According to him, conversations about demobilization after 36 months of service were populism. "But people need to be extracted from trenches and transferred to calmer positions. And to reduce the upper bar of conscript age - to release men over 55 years from the army," he said.
According to Petrichenko, this would reduce the tension in society. Lieutenant and serviceman 47 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Melnyk is convinced that Ukraine has "lost" from the bill on strengthening mobilization. "Yes, we need to mobilize people in order to demobilize those who are at war now. But the promises of demobilization, and then the refusal of it will be perceived by soldiers as an element of injustice," he emphasized.
The officer explained that the government should either not start talking about demobilization, or declare its specific terms. "We have de facto brigades at best with 40% staffed. We need about 100,000 to simply" plug "holes. Another 100,000 in the reserve and about 150,000 to be dembole," Melnyk said. We will remind, the government supported a resolution on a monthly supplement to the military, which are "at zero".
