According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the investigation is still ongoing, so all possible versions of the event are considered. However, the most likely - a rocket strike from the Russian invaders, as evidenced by the fragments found on the shelling. On September 6, the armed forces of the Russian Federation struck the market in Konstantinovka of Donetsk region with the use of the C-300 missile.

On September 19, Ukrainian Pravda reports with reference to a source at the Security Service of Ukraine. According to the publication, this incident is regarded as another military crime committed by Russian invaders. During the investigation, it was found that the missile strike was taken from the C-300 missile system, which is a violation of international laws and customs of war, as provided for in Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The source of journalists in the SBU noted that the evidence of this crime was the fragments of the rocket found at the site of the tragedy. We will remind, on September 6 it was reported that the Russian military attacked the city of Konstantinovka in Donetsk region. On September 6, 17 dead and 32 were reported, but subsequently law enforcement officers corrected the death toll, indicating that they were on 16.
