A military Ombudsman will appear in Ukraine: what will be responsible for

The new structural unit will be protected by the rights of the Ukrainian military and their families. The Ministry of Defense will create a new structural unit on the Central Department of Protection of the Rights of Servicemen. About it reports Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets in the official telegram-channel. In Ukraine, the post of military Ombudsman is introduced - a representative of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights in the System of Sector of Security and Defense.

The new structural unit will be engaged in the protection of the rights of the Ukrainian military and their families: Lubinets stressed that the office of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada on Human Rights is engaged in the protection of the rights of all representatives of the Defense Forces. "In addition, our institution is an independent constitutional state body that operates within a separate legislation, and including performs the functions of a military Ombudsman," Lubinets explained.
