The Armed Forces showed "put on their feet" American howitzers M777 (video)

During the restoration, Ukrainian experts communicate with western video chat colleagues. Sometimes they do not understand how you can return to the system, which they do not fit even on scrap. The Ukrainian military finds a way out of a situation where the help of Western Allies is delayed. In such difficult conditions, Ukrainian experts repair military equipment to send it to the front in the shortest possible time. Deutsche Welle journalists were told about how "put on their feet" by M777.

The material states that repair workshops are created on the basis of military units that specialize in the overhaul and restoration of artillery systems. These parts deliver damaged, failed, and completely torn into parts of the tool. To restore guns and breathe in them "second life", our experts use spare parts from other howitzers, engaged in a kind of technical cannibalism.

At the same time, in order to exchange experience, Ukrainian and Western engineers have created special video clips that not only exchange experience but also show the process of renewal guns. It is noteworthy that Western experts in some cases do not even imagine how you can repair those howitzers that, in their opinion, are not repaired in principle. "They sometimes do not understand . . .

They (in this state) not only do not go to recovery, but are not even suitable for scrap metal," says the Armed Forces serviceman Sergei. As an example, journalists showed howitzers "in boxes". In other words, the tools were delivered in a completely disassembled state. In this case, the Ukrainian masters are tasked with collecting a gun as a puzzle from different spare parts. It goes from several weeks to several months. But sometimes there are damage that spare parts are simply not enough.

It has also been noted that Ukrainian engineers need large elements for these guns. Self -production takes time, which is always limited in war. "If they do not give them, then we weld them and refine them. They give - well, they do not give - we will still do them," our masters say. We will remind, the former commander -in -chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny showed the work of Ukrainian artillerymen who fired at the enemy.
