Aydar Battalion is a storm group of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces, established in 2014. Almost two dozen of his fighters are accused of violating the "laws" established by the occupiers in Donetsk region. In Russia, a trial over the fighters of the Aydar battalion began. This was reported on July 25 by the Propaganda Tarks Agency. The media noted that the court over 18 persons was the first mass case in the Russian Federation.

The persons are accused of several articles of the Criminal Code of the so -called "DNR", that is, the occupation regime in Donetsk region. During the trial, they should be re -qualified into articles of the Criminal Code. Ukrainians want to condemn for the "violent seizure of power", "changing the constitutional order of the DNR" and "participation in the activity of a terrorist organization". Aydar battalion is recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia.
