"Much less": Zelensky denied Western media data about 80,000 dead in the war (video)

According to the President, the figure published in the American press is not accurate. Zelensky noted that since September the ratio of losses of Ukraine to the Russian Federation is 1 to 8. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy denied data that spread the Western media that Ukraine allegedly lost 80,000 soldiers on the front. According to him, this figure is not true. The Head of State stated this in an interview with the Japanese news agent Kyodo News, published on Tuesday, December 2.

At the same time, Zelensky noted that he could not name accurate losses. "Some recently in the American press have provided information that 80,000 were killed by Ukrainians. But I want to tell you that not, less. Much less," the President said. According to him, since September the ratio of losses of Ukraine to the Russian Federation is 1 to 8. He also specified that the exact number of dead in the temporarily occupied territories remains unknown.

It is about civilian, military, law enforcement officers, as well as representatives of local authorities. "And how many were killed, how much they were lost, how much they were tortured in captivity - I do not know here. Therefore, I speak, only about fixing the military who are controlled in our territory," the Head of State said. We will remind, on September 17, the journalists of The Wall Street Journal wrote that the losses of the Armed Forces in the war amounted to 80 thousand people.
