From one hundred thousand to a million: how wounded military receive cash payments

According to lawyer Anastasia Vladenkova, during the treatment for the wounded the payment of cash and additional cash remuneration of 100 thousand hryvnias is maintained. The Ukrainian soldiers who were injured are entitled to cash payments, but there is a nuance. Anastasia Volodenkova, a lawyer of NGO "Principle", said what steps to get the state's help.

According to the lawyer, during the treatment for the wounded the payment of money and additional cash in the amount of UAH 100 thousand is maintained. However, if the wounded military is under rehabilitation, he has the right to receive this money only in case of serious injury.

"During the treatment after the wound related to the protection of the state, you will receive both cash and UAH 100 thousand and during the rehabilitation 100 thousand UAH receive only those who have injured severe," the lawyer explained. Cash payment comes to the owner's bank card on a monthly basis. In order to receive this money, you need to provide a certificate from a medical facility where the wounded military received medical care.

If 4 months have passed since the medical facility has been entering the medical facility, and treatment is still ongoing, it is necessary to undergo a military medical examination and get a relevant document that will continue the payment. You will also need to fulfill one condition: for all 4 months to be in the hospital continuously.

If the payment for the injury has stopped, it is necessary to write a report on the command of the military unit after passing the IUMC (military medical commission) with the request to pay compensation for the period of treatment. If the appeal does not respond and the payment is not renewed, the appeal to the headquarters of the operational command, which is subordinate to the part, as well as the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine or the Finance Department, must be submitted.

In this case, the military has the right to financial assistance from the military unit, which is paid once a year in the amount of monthly cash. To obtain it, you must submit a report to the commander. Anastasia Volodenkova stressed that it is necessary to submit such a document to its direct commander immediately after discharge from the hospital. Additional financial assistance shall be paid only in case of disability or percentage of disability.

Its size depends on the disability group and the subsistence minimum. In 2023, the military, who were given disability due to injuries, have the right to such payments from the state: we recall that on March 8 it became known that the UN restores the payments of 6600 UAH for Ukrainians. International organizations in Ukraine are beginning to accept cash payments for IDPs and persons affected by the war.
