Interest in Ukraine falls: why you should not expect large waves of foreigners in the Armed Forces - journalist (video)

The full -scale war in Ukraine has been going on for almost two years. During this time, a wave of interest from foreigners falls, so the great waves of volunteers from other countries to Ukraine should not be expected, says the journalist of the Focus Military Department Alexander Matvienko. Interest in the war in Ukraine in the world is declining, so it is unlikely that more volunteers from other countries will be attracted than it was at the beginning of the Russian invasion.

Moreover, the recruitment of the Armed Forces of foreigners is quite complicated and painstaking - it is necessary to go through commissions and checks. Alexander Matvienko, a journalist of Focus, said this in an interview. According to him, Ukrainians can not count on anyone than themselves. Therefore, these needed 500,000 mobilized, which are now being discussed, will not be recruited in one day and it will be a rather long process that depends on the innovations in the new mobilization law.

"It is superfluous that someone will fight for us," Alexander Matvienko emphasizes. "As it may be possible, other countries have long given us their troops, and no one wants to die. Therefore, counting on a large number of volunteers or mercenaries from Foreign countries do not have. " On the side of the Armed Forces, volunteers from the RDC and Legion "Freedom of Russia" are fighting, the journalist notes.

He reminds that according to the head of GUR Kirill Kirill Budanov and the head of the SBU Vasyl Malyuk, the number of operations in the enemy will increase next year. According to Oleksandr Matvienko, these operations can be increased just at the expense of foreign volunteer units. The journalist notes that active recruitment is currently in operation to the ranks of these units by Russian citizens who are ready to fight against Putin's regime on the side of Ukraine.
