Will hunt for Shakhda and winged rockets: Ukraine has developed an autonomous anti -aircraft Turel (photo)

To spread: Ukrainian engineers have created the Sky Sentinel anti-aircraft Turel, capable of detecting and knocking out Russian unmanned aerial vehicles type Shahd-136 and high-speed winged missiles. The developers claim that its prototype has already destroyed four "chema" during combat tests. About it writes United24 Media. According to the developers, the new Ukrainian autonomous anti -air defense turel is able to rotate 360 degrees and is guided by artificial intelligence.

It is installed a heavy machine gun that can hit the target, the fifth less than the ShahED-136. The creators of weapons say that, within its effective range, it can even knock down the rocket's winged rocket. Its purpose can be any fast-moving objects at a speed of 200, 400 and even 800 kilometers per hour. The maximum range of lesions remains classified. It is noted that Sky Sentinel can work autonomously, that is, does not require a soldier who will manually put it on the target.

Human intervention is needed only for the deployment of Tureli into a combat position and the introduction of radar data, and the detection, fixation of the target, tracking of the trajectory of flight, calculation and firing is equipped with the AI weapons on their own. According to engineers, the Sky Sentinel mechanic was fully developed in Ukraine and tested at landfills and in real fighting. Each block of new weapons costs about $ 150,000.

In order to protect the city, it is necessary from 10 to 30 such turlies, however, according to the authors of the material, it is cheaper than one rocket-interceptor of many traditional air defense systems. Currently, the developer team is working to increase production. The leading engineer of the Sky Sentinel team pointed out the critical problem that Tureli developers collided. According to him, one of the biggest obstacles to the creation of this type of weapon is a mechanical backlash.

The accuracy of firing can be affected by the smallest displacement of the tower mechanisms. "We had to create a system that moves a lot with zero mechanical backlash. And not just moving but also shooting. This means that it also has to cope with the return," the engineer said. We will remind, in the press service of the 5th assault brigade of the Armed Forces on April 28 it was told that Ukrainian fighters appeared automated Turels, capable of fire from shelter up to 2. 5 km.
