Nuclear "Polonaise": Belarus wants to introduce "Oreshnika" technologies into their own missiles

To spread: State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich stated that the possibility of equipping the Polonaise missile system with nuclear warheads is being discussed. The statement was made after a meeting on the development of rocket production, Belta reports. According to Wolfovich, initially OTRC "Polonaise" was created in conjunction with China, but later modernized at Belarusian enterprises.

The official said that the rocket has now been improved in terms of the lesion. Previously, it was 200 km, now it allegedly reached 300 km. "This is high-precision weapons. Of course, any weapon needs to be adjusted. Questions are already raised by nuclear warheads. He stressed that Belarus "no one threatens", but in the face of increasing military threats by the West, the issue of strategic restraint comes to the fore.

The Belarusian Reactive System of Polonaise-M (V-300 or B-300 variant) is a modernized version of the original Polonaise system, first demonstrated at the May 9, 2015 parade and in 2016. The improved version provides increased gap with more sophisticated A-300 or B-300 missiles. Some analysts say that the accelerated deployment of complexes is due to the fact that Belarus began to invest late in the modernization of the arsenal.

Now new systems are complemented by Russian Iskander-M OTRC, some of which are equipped with nuclear warheads in a joint agreement with Moscow. Thus, "Polonza" becomes an important element on the stairs of strategic restraint, which precedes the use of heavier missiles. The main characteristics of the Polonaise RSSU: Recall that in November 2023 the military-industrial complex of Belarus put the army division of missile systems "Polonaz-M".

Thus, as of the beginning of 2024, the Belarusian army had two DVD divisions of the OTRC. In March 2025, President of Belarus Oleksandr Lukashenko stated that the defense industry of his country was producing starting installations for the Russian ballistic missile "Oreshnik", and several of them have already been practically built.
