The United Kingdom has handed over the Martlet missiles to fight shared Iranian production, which Russia applies to attacks in Ukrainian cities.

This managed weapon is part of modern systems transmitted to counteract these drones, The Times reports. The Martlet missiles created by Thales Air Defense are light multi -purpose guided missiles. At the same time, the publication notes that there are currently no official reports on the supply of missiles. According to journalists, initially the UK Ministry of Defense has placed orders for 1000 such rockets since 2013.

However, the initial operational readiness was achieved only in 2021, and full operational capacity is planned by 2024. The Martlet rocket provides a single line of weapons that can be used in different modes: sea, for attack on targets on Earth, for launching from air and for damage to air purposes from the Earth.
