Russian special services recruited a resident of Donetsk region before the start of a full -scale invasion. After February 24, 2022, he began to carry out hostile tasks. In the Kirovograd region, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained the FSB agent, who collected information about the combat positions of Ukrainian air defense, the place of base of the Armed Forces and Terroborons. This was reported in the SBU press service on Telegram.

"The attacker was a resident of Toretsk, who was recruited in Donetsk region, which the Russian intelligence service was recruited before the commencement of a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation," the message said. Whereas after February 24, 2022 he was ordered to arrive in Kirovograd region as a migrant from Eastern Ukraine. As a result, the agent immediately began collecting information about the places of base of the Armed Forces, location of local terroborons.

He also tried to find combat positions of Ukrainian air defense. In particular, he began to work as a repairman on one of the military sites of the region. In turn, the occupiers "guaranteed" the agent of a monetary remuneration of up to 5 thousand hryvnias for each task. The FSB also promised to "evacuate" him to the Russian Federation and to employ the special service in the ranks.

However, the SBU staff exposed and detained the agent on a hot agent when he was hidden in photography of the Armed Forces. The detainee seized a mobile phone that he used to communicate with the enemy and fix the Armed Forces base. According to the SBU, these media files were needed by occupiers to prepare a new air strike in the region. It was added that the detainee was reported suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He is threatened with life imprisonment.
