They turn attention and "press": Russians try to influence the investigation in the "Nord Streams"

To spread: The Russians are urged to stop interfering with the investigation into the "northern streams": France claims that Russians are trying to distract from their own actions, including blows to Ukrainian infrastructure. Also, Russians "put pressure" on the investigation. Russian actions only confirm the sole purpose - to continue aggression against Ukraine.

This statement was made by the French representative at a meeting of the UN Security Council, which was convened to discuss the investigation of the case of explosions at the Nord Stream-1 gas pipelines and Nord Stream-2, Ukrinform reports. French representative in particular stated that Russia is trying to put pressure on German investigators in the case. "Many times Russia tries to put pressure on German investigators, and it is unacceptable," she stressed.

The official also added that international judicial bodies are independent, and their investigations meet the principles of the rule of law. At the same time, Dmitry Polyansky, Deputy Post -Representation at the UN, announced that Germany, Denmark and Sweden allegedly "refused Russia in cooperation" on investigation of explosions at the "northern streams", as reported by the Russian media "Izvestia".

"As a result, the valuable time was lost, and the work of Danish and Swedish investigators ended as we predicted: they took a year and a half to make one conclusion - the Nord Stream gas pipeline was indeed blown up, and by whom and in what way they could not determine," Polyansky said. The Russians also called on international investigators "not trying to hide the truth" about the explosions on the "north flows".

Polyansky noted that without progress in the investigation, such cases can occur in other parts of the world. Instead, the French representatives during the UN Security Council meeting noted that the FNR is currently continuing the investigation, including the detention of one of the suspects in the case, while Sweden and Denmark completed their investigations in February 2024.
