Online broadcasting from churches and curfew: How Ukraine will celebrate Easter in the War

To spread: the Kyiv authorities on the eve of bicycle clock appealed to the heads of religious communities and asked to restrict mass worship services for Easter. Alternatively, it is proposed to organize online broadcasting from churches. This was stated on the official portal of Kiev. Also, because of the increased risk of hostile attacks in the Kyiv City State Administration (KSCA), they called on the administration of churches to take the necessary security measures during the Easter services.

In particular, to inform the parishioners about the procedure in the event of air anxiety and to prepare information about the nearest shelters. In addition, at Easter in the capital will not change the time of the curfew. It will, as usual, last from 00:00 to 05:00. In particular, additional patrols will be reported on holidays - in particular, the number of staff of the National Police and other services in places of people in connection with the actual mass events will be increased.

It became known how other cities are preparing for religious holidays. After all, Easter and Roman Catholics and Orthodox will celebrate this year together-April 20. Mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov said that the enemy can use the holiday for provocations and strike in the city. "We need to be careful because the enemy can use these days for shelling. I really want the holidays to be more or less calm, but we must be ready for everything," Terekhov said.

His statement was published on the official website of Kharkiv City Council. Under his mayor, no special restrictions on visiting temples in the city were not introduced. There will be no night in martial law and curfew for the fourth consecutive year in Kharkiv. The churches will hold the liturgies and consecration of Easter baskets on Saturday on the eve of the holiday, and in the morning of Sunday.

In the territory of Kherson region during the Easter holidays and funeral days there are restrictions - it is forbidden to hold worship services in the curfew, consecration on the territory of temples, as well as visiting cemeteries. This was reported by the head of Kherson Ova Alexander Proudin. He noted that the exception will be made only for funeral processions. In Kherson region, from April 1, the curfew will last from 21:00 to 05:00.

Religious organizations in Ova are advised to conduct online broadcasting of worship-to avoid mass crowds, to holy Easter eggs inside the temples, to take into account the curfew so that people can get home in time. The residents of the Ukrainian -controlled part of Donetsk region were urged to refuse to visit cemeteries for Easter and commemorative days. There can be mines or non -broken shells. This was reported in the State Emergency Service. In the region, there is a ban on mass events.

The access of the believers to the churches will be allowed after the end of the curfew. Rescuers explain that they have conversations with the clergy on the safety of believers on holidays. Recall that on the eve of Easter in Ukraine is expected warm weather. Frosts will leave the country, and at night the temperature will also remain on positive indicators.
