"Difficult to work with the zoo": the expert explained why the Armed Forces lacked the EW at the front

Ukraine lacks the means of radio electronic struggle (HRS) on the fronts, because the complexes transferred to the allies are not combined into a single system. The Ukrainian serviceman and a specialist in radio electronic technologies Sergey Beskrest (call sign "Flash") told about such a problem in an interview with Censor.

According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently completed by only 20%. They can be divided into two types as intended, the first - powerful mobile complexes, such as Ukrainian "Bukovel" and "note", capable of drowning even the winged drones "Lancet", such defense forces are used on all fronts. The second type is trenches, such as antirotic guns.

These remedies are used by Ukrainian defenders to perform local tasks, they cannot overcome Dron-Kamikadze "Lancet" or Intelligence "Orlans", but successfully suppress quadcopters such as DJI Mavic. "Unfortunately, we do not have large complexes or trenches. The partners can help us. No one expected that the war would become so dependent on drones, and that the Reb will need on such a giant scale," said Sergei Flesh.

He explained that the Allies transfer to Ukraine their remedies, but they are often tuned to work in different frequency ranges, so they do not "contact" in one system. For example, only dozens of manufacturers are supplied from America. Because of this, Ukrainian "Rebivtsi" has to learn each complex separately. "It is very difficult to work with this zoo," the military emphasized.

As for Bukovel and note complexes, Ukrainian enterprises are trying to increase production, but their cost is very high - it is about hundreds of thousands of dollars. At the same time, Russia is developing its technologies of the IE, forcing new technologies, because already existing ones can not always be upgraded to new realities. "Imagine we released the Reb on all fronts for one set of frequencies, and the enemy took and applied a new frequency.

And it turns out that we need to completely process everything, or introduce a new product," - explained Sergei. According to him, it is impossible to reconfigure the frequencies of the trenches, because they are made "disposable". Deficiency of antironous rifles and other compact devices of the HRS leads to large margins.
