F-16 for Ukraine: In the Netherlands, when the Armed Forces will receive fighters (video)

In Amsterdam, Ukrainian pilots training on F-16 fighters. It will last from six to eight months. Ukraine will be able to get F-16 fighters in 2024. This was reported by the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Kais Ollogren on the Tokshaw Morning Joe. "The actual supply of aircraft will start somewhere next year," Kaisa Ollogren said. She noted that the training of Ukrainian pilots is currently underway in Amsterdam, which will last from six to eight months.

However, it is unknown specifically, because it will depend on many factors. According to the Ministers, the Dutch pilots are going on longer workouts. In addition, the Netherlands plan to open a training center in Romania. Kaisa Ollogren said that F-16 fighters are transmitted to Ukraine in accelerated mode, since the Netherlands, Norway and Denmark are switching to more modern variants-F-35.

Therefore, countries can transfer their F-16 fighters to Ukraine, but the transition process takes some time. She added that the transfer of fighters to Ukrainian pilots should be a signal from Western partners not only for Kiev but also for Moscow. On the social network X (Twitter), the Minister of the Netherlands stated that Europe and the United States of America should act as one to combat Russian aggression. "We need to stop Putin's war in Ukraine to prevent future aggression," she added.

We will remind, on August 20 President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine will transfer 42 F-16 fighters. Also, by the end of the year, Denmark will hand over six aircraft, whereas for several years-the transmission of 19 F-16 fighters will take place. Earlier, Focus wrote how the F-16 aircraft will be able to change the course of the Russian-Ukrainian war, and what difficulties may arise when transmitting them.
