Two oil depots are burning in occupied Crimea after a drone attack (video)
The focus was figuring out what had caught fire after the drone attack. The monitoring group of the Crimean Wind Telegram channel reports that the oil depot in Gvardiyskyi belongs to the ATAN network of gas stations. "Kedr" LLP is the owner of the largest network of gas stations under the ATAN brand in Crimea (more than 100 gas stations). In addition, "Kedr" LLP owns a network of oil depots and a fleet of gasoline trucks.
After the October 17 attack, at least five fuel tanks burned at the oil depot. Now the plume of smoke is already visible from space. And regarding the second fire, there was a slight misunderstanding. Initially, monitoring channels reported that the CHP in the suburbs of Simferopol caught fire. But later it turned out that another oil depot, located nearby, caught fire.
"The oil depot in Simferopol, which is currently on fire, was actively visited/departed yesterday by military fuel trucks in camouflage nets and with protection from drones, subscribers report. This oil depot is actively used to supply the Russian occupation army," the Crimean Wind post reported. The video shows flames and a column of black smoke.
At the same time, the self-proclaimed "head of the Republic of Crimea" Serhii Aksyonov quickly reported that "as a result of an attack by an enemy UAV on the territory of Simferopol, a container with fuel and lubricants was hit. " According to him, there was a fire there, but no one was injured. He did not report the fire at the second oil depot in Gvardiyskyi. Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that five "aircraft-type" drones were shot down in Crimea.
