After Russian attacks, two hydroelectric power plants were decommissioned - Ukrenergo

Restoration of hydropower equipment, which has been destroyed by impact, requires both considerable repair efforts and considerable funds. On Wednesday, May 8, during the morning shelling of critical infrastructure, significant lesions were also caused by hydropower facilities. Due to the damage caused, two hydroelectric power plants had to be stopped. This was reported in Ukrenergo. The enemy continues to attack and destroy Ukraine's energy infrastructure, causing destructive purposeful strokes.

It is noted that all the hydrogeneration of the country has undergone destructive damage. The restoration of hydropower equipment, which has been destroyed by Russian strokes, requires both considerable repair efforts and considerable funds. Due to the massive shelling of Ukraine today, May 9, from 18:00 to 00:00, electricity supply for industry will be restricted. At the same time, Ukrenergo was warned that if the deficit fails to cover, the energy restriction will also apply to the population.

We will remind, on May 5 it was reported that due to the attacks of the Russians, Ukrainian energy suffered losses for more than $ 1 billion, as stated by the Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko. According to him, the situation is quite complicated, but favorable weather conditions make it possible to balance the power system of RES. Before that, on March 22, the Russian occupation army struck the most massive blow to Ukraine's energy system since the beginning of a full -scale invasion.
