"They were provoked": Lukashenko told why Russian troops went to Kiev from Belarus

Llukashenko claims that he did not give permission to use the territory of Belarus for the offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the territory of Ukraine. Instead, Putin simply decided to "remove troops" after joint exercises through the territories of our country. President of Belarus Oleksandr Lukashenko did not allow permission to use the territory of the country for the offensive of Russian troops to Kiev.

He stated this to the Air Force editor Steve Rosenberg in Kazan in the fields of Brix summit. "We had training in which several thousand Russian soldiers were involved. Putin began to withdraw these troops from Belarus. They were in the south of Belarus - and this road was past the border with Ukraine, he began withdrawing these troops," Alexander Lukashenko said. The Belarusian President added that at some point Vladimir Putin redirected some of these troops to Kyiv.

"I am sure that they were provoked. It depends on Putin how he would remove his troops. Through Kiev. And he could go through Minsk," Alexander Lukashenko added. When asked if he called the President of the Russian Federation with the question of what was happening, the head of Belarus noted that he did not call. He specified that it was Vladimir Putin's troops and he has the right to withdraw troops where he sees fit.

Earlier, President of Belarus Oleksandr Lukashenko stated that Kremlin chairman Vladimir Putin allegedly regret the beginning of the so -called "special operation" against Ukraine. The leader of the RB added that Putin firmly believes that he is right and is motivated to continue the war against Ukraine.
