RF strikes: Pentagon did not allow Russia to attack Western weapons

The Pentagon was forbidden to beat Ukrainians on military bases in the enemy. Americans have called such objects "geopolitical goals" and do not plan to change their position. Ukraine has not received US permission for the use of US weapons to blows in military facilities in Russia. The Pentagon position is that US weapons will be more effective if used exclusively within Ukraine. The statement of the US Department of Defense was announced by Sabrin Singh's spokeswoman during a briefing on May 30.

Singh answered the question of whether the US plans to change its position on Russian strikes. The spokeswoman stressed that the changes did not occur and the attacks on the Russian territory would not be. According to Americans, Ukrainians need to focus on "tactical and prompt purposes". The military objects of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Pentagon were called "geopolitical goals" and suggested to forget about them.

"The security assistance we provide in Ukraine should be used in Ukraine and we do not encourage attacks and do not allow attacks within Russia," Singh said. The representative of the defense department stressed that the position would not change in the near future. And when that happens, the media will be officially reported. "It remains our policy now. And we believe that we have given them opportunities and systems to be effective on the battlefield right now," the journalists heard.

Earlier, Focus wrote about the statement of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky about the consequences of banning the use of Western weapons for blows to the Russian Federation. The head of state explained that as a result, the Russians concentrated live power and technique for the offensive on Kharkiv, which began on May 10. In addition, a few kilometers from the border on the landfills open the starting installations, which launch missiles of various types in Ukraine.

There are several military airfields nearby, from which planes for launching rockets and managed aircraft, from which the border regions and the rest of the Ukrainian regions suffer from. In May, Secretary of State Atony Blinken repeated several times that the ban would not be canceled. However, the Western media reported that it was negotiating that Ukraine still has permission to strikes on the Russian Federation.

The media also published a statement from anonymous interlocutors in the White House: they assure that Washington's position can change. In the same article, they noticed the phrase that the ban was already unofficially abolished. We remind that on May 31 the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was fired at Kharkiv again. The rockets were hit by a residential building and local authorities reported four dead.
