The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation opened a new front in Kharkiv region: how the Armed Forces restrained the offensive near Milov
According to the Deepstate analytical platform, the Russian army crossed the border of Ukraine, seized the village of Milovo and moves in the direction of the Abbarny. Also, according to the serviceman Stanislav Bunatov with the call sign "Osman", the enemy opened another direction in the Kharkiv region in order to delay Ukrainian reserves from the Kupyansk direction.
"In general, the situation is not too favorable to us: the large length of the border allows the enemy to take such actions almost all over the line. Similar" fires "due to the lack of reserves have to extinguish point, attracting the forces of crews that are already performing combat missions directly on the front," Osman said.
The military-political observer of the "Information Resistance" group Alexander Kovalenko claims that the army of the Russian Federation is trying to unite the bridgeheads located on the right bank of the Oskil River, in particular the two-year-old bridgehead, with positions in the area of Milov, extending along the border with the Russian Federation. This association is necessary to ensure logistical interaction between these positions, which is a key element for further promotion.
Kovalenko explains that the bridgehead on the right bank of the Oskil River, in particular in the two -year area, has been relatively static for a long time. It does not undergo dramatic changes, which creates problems for Russian troops. The current state does not allow the Russian army to fully equip the shock tactical group, which is necessary for the offensive on the Kupyansky direction.
The lack of progress in the area forces the Russian command to look for alternative ways to strengthen their positions. "The unification of the two -year bridgehead with positions in the Milov region is a priority for the Russians. This would not only improve logistics, but also create a more stable base for offensive operations. However, achieving this goal is complicated by the active resistance of the Ukrainian forces that effectively restrain the promotion.
" The former spokesman of the Armed Forces General Staff Vladislav Seleznyov notes that the situation in the Kharkiv direction, in particular in the area of Milov, remains tense, but is not new. The fighting in the area lasts at least two weeks, and the enemy is actively trying to expand its bridgehead along the entire front area. However, the Ukrainian forces, based on pre-prepared engineering and forming structures, effectively restrain the enemy's promotion.
The expert emphasizes that Milove is located directly on the border from the Russian Federation, where the distance from the border to the nearest homes is only a few hundred meters. Because of this, it is almost impossible to keep defense on the border. The enemy took advantage of this geographical feature, crossed the border and attacked the immediate Ukrainian positions.
In response, the Ukrainian forces have gone to pre -prepared fortifications, located somewhat from the border, about 80 km, where fortifications play a key role in restraining the enemy. "These engineering and technical structures, not erected on the border itself, but at some distance, perform their task, complicating the promotion of Russian troops. At present, the enemy does not have enough free forces and means to scale its actions in this area of the front.
One of the probable scenarios Kovalenko calls the attempts of Russian troops to move towards the settlements Odradne and Bologovka, with the subsequent access to the well of well -Grigorivka. These actions can be aimed at expanding the bridgehead and creating the conditions for the offensive on Kupyansk. However, such operations are difficult for the Russian forces because of their limited ability to form breakthroughs in the border areas.
Most of these attempts are completed by local tactical border operations that do not lead to significant results. For example, entering the Great Burluk, which is regarded as one of the possible directions, now looks almost impossible due to lack of resources and strong resistance of the Ukrainian forces. Russian troops are forced to limit themselves to actual actions that do not allow them to achieve strategic goals.
The expert also predicts that Russian troops can activate actions in border settlements, such as Degtyar, Sand, Saber, Cretaceous and Artilne. These villages, located directly on the border with Russia, are vulnerable to sabotage groups. If such groups are not displaced in a timely manner, they can be fixed in these areas, creating so -called "appendixes" or "metastases" - local cells that complicate control of the territory. This tactic has several goals: distraction of Ukrainian forces.
The Russians seek to spray the resources of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, forcing them to transfer the forces from Kupyansk to the border areas. Extension of the bridgeheads. Fixing in border settlements allows you to create new points for further attacks. Creating chaos. The sabotage actions are aimed at destabilizing the situation in the frontal areas.
Analyzing the actions of the Russian troops, Seleznyov suggests that their goal is to try to cut off part of the Kharkiv region, creating pressure in several directions. In particular, strikes in the area of Milov and neighboring farms may be part of the plan for the dispersion of the Ukrainian forces. However, the realization of such ambitious goals is complicated due to lack of resources in the Russian army.
"In other areas of the front, such as Pokrovsky or Vovchansky directions, as well as in the Sumy region, Russian troops also face serious resistance. Despite some promotions, their successes are insignificant compared to attracted forces and means. For example, in the Vovchansk and Sumy region, the enemy is not overcome. Military expert Oleg Zhdanov said that Russian troops have intensified efforts in the Kupyansk operational direction to seize the city.
It would be profitable for them to enter the rear of Ukrainian forces, which would greatly facilitate the advance to the city. At the same time, considering a wider picture, Russian troops are also aimed at Big Burluk, which is confirmed by their activity in the area. "On the Vovchansky bridgehead, the enemy intensified the fighting, continuing the pressure in the Kupyansk direction.
If you analyze the map, then Vovchansk, the Great Burluk and the two -year (which is closer to the border) form a strategically important region. the zones "mentioned by Putin," the expert added focus. This tactic involves the isolation of key settlements and the creation of conditions for control of the territory. However, according to Zhdanov, the Ukrainian forces are actively opposed, holding back the promotion of the enemy and complicating the implementation of his plans.
Kovalenko notes that despite active attempts, Russian forces face serious difficulties. Their extension of the bridgeheads require considerable resources that have to be transferred to different directions. This leads to dispersion of their own forces, which reduces the efficiency of their operations. "For example, to strengthen positions on the Right Bank of Oskol or in the Milov area, it is necessary to involve additional units, which weakens other areas of the front.
In addition, Russian troops suffer significant losses due to the active resistance of Ukrainian forces that effectively use the tactics of counter -offensive and defense. Vladislav Seleznev considers the unlikely threat to the Russian troops of Kupyansk direction from Milov because of their limited resources. Their attempts to advance in other areas, such as Pokrovsky or Vovchansky, did not produce significant results, which indicates the dispersion of the enemy's forces.
"Russian troops will probably continue local attacks in border areas, such as Milove, in order to divert the attention of the Ukrainian forces from key areas, including Kupyanski. However, the lack of resources and the strong resistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine significantly limit their opportunities for large -scale offensive operations," the expert added. As a result, Seleznyov calls a key factor in the success of Ukrainian defense pre -prepared fortifications.
They allow you to effectively restrain the advance of the enemy, even in such complex border areas as Milovo. These fortifications allow the Ukrainian forces to occupy favorable positions and minimize losses, forcing the enemy to spend significant resources on unsuccessful attacks. Earlier, Focus reports that on July 21, the Russian army advanced to the village of Zarov, which flows in the outskirts of Pokrovsk. As a result, this village became a "gray zone".
