"Zelensky plans to escape to the United States": the Russians spread a new fake - CPD (photo)

The Center for Combating Misinformation said that all the relevant documents seemed to have already been prepared for escape. As evidence, propagandists attach a photo of the "Certificate" to the head of state on the granting of US citizenship. Russian Telegram channels spread information that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is allegedly in the spring of 2024 to "flee" to the United States with his family.

This was reported on Tuesday, December 5, at the Center for Countering Misinformation. According to the CPD, all the relevant documents seemed to have already prepared for the escape. As evidence, propagandists attach a photo of the "Certificate" to the head of state on the granting of US citizenship. As installed in the center, the primary source of this "news" is the fake edition of The DC Weekly, which has repeatedly spread a lie about the President of Ukraine and the first lady.

In addition, the publication is not indexed by the Google Search System. "The author of the material is a fictional person named Jessica Devlin, whose profile is a photo of the actress Judith Batalion," the press service emphasizes. Accordingly, according to the CPD, a photo of the so -called US citizenship certificate is also fake, because its number cannot be found in the database.

"In this way, Russian propaganda tries to discredit the President of Ukraine and his family, as well as cause panic among Ukrainians," the message added. We will remind, on December 5 Russian propagandists spread the fake that in Ukraine in the war allegedly died a 17-year-old teenager, which was mobilized the day before. The regional military administration denied information.
