Ukraine also managed to return two children illegally exported to Russia. Ukraine returned 45 soldiers of the Armed Forces, the National Guard, the SPSU and two civilians from captivity. The head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak has informed about it.

According to him, two officers, 41 ordinary and sergeant, as well as Azovstali and one Terroborons fighter from Kherson, returned home from Russian captivity. Among the released military from Donetsk, including Bakhmut, Zaporizhzhya and Kharkiv directions. Some of the returned heroes are wounded. In addition to the military, the home managed to return two Ukrainian children illegally exported to Russia - a six -year -old Renata and a ten -year -old Barbarian. Their mother is a combat physician.

It was released from Russian captivity during a large exchange in October 2022. All this time she and her husband were looking forward to returning her children. "The coordination headquarters on the management of prisoners of war in coordination with the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner Dmitry Lubins and our team are working on the return of our children. Russia will be held accountable for these crimes," Andrei Yermak added.

The bodies were transferred from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Before that, on May 6, another exchange of prisoners took place. On that day, 45 Ukrainian defenders returned home. And on April 26, Ukraine returned 44 prisoners of war, including NSU fighters, the Armed Forces and the SPSU.
