"Lands in the war zone have been under steam for 18 months, and in the conditions of warm and wet summer the growth of weeds and shrubs is accelerated," the report reads.

In this regard, an additional cover helps the Russian army mask defense positions and thus significantly complicates the mine fields that in the south are enormous. "Although thickets can also serve as a cover for small secret infantry attacks, it has generally led to both parties to move forward," summed up analysts from the UK Ministry of Defense.
