Share: The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation created a special unit of drones "Rubikon", which, when they appear on a certain part of the front, creates serious problems for Ukrainian soldiers, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said. "Rubicon" has a much larger number of drones and can launch them into the fog without fear of losses.

The Russian "Rubikon" unit is striking at the logistics of the Armed Forces, at the possibilities of rotation and safe stay in the dugouts, Ukrainian serviceman Mykola Voroshnov wrote on his Facebook page. The post compares the capabilities of the Russians and the Ukrainian analogue, conditionally, the 414th brigade "Birds of Magyar".

According to Voroshnov, the Russians have a significant advantage due to access to unlimited resources for the development, production, purchase, and use of any type of UAV. The post of the military appeared in the evening of November 10. The military talked about the "Rubicon" footage, which sends 4-5 fiber-optic drones to attack the soldiers of the Armed Forces, about the use of UAVs "in the rain and in the wind" and for reconnaissance, without saving money and without fear of losses.

According to him, Russians are not afraid to lose devices for 1000-1500 dollars, having unlimited access to resources. "What is their uniqueness, this Rubicon? In money. In an unlimited resource. Unlimited means of application. An unlimited resource for development and testing. They have those drones - like l***na. Sneeze at the cost and quantity - only interested in the result," he wrote. Unlike Rubicon units, Ukrainian crews do not have such capabilities, Voroshnov noted.

Ukrainian fighters, conditionally, have "five FPV drones by the end of the week", while the Russians have "unlimited". Fokus wrote about the "Rubikon" drone unit of the Russian Armed Forces, which the Russian command sends to important areas of the front. One such case occurred during the Kursk operation. In February 2025, UAVs of a special unit appeared on this stretch and took under fire control the route from Suji, which was used for logistics and the movement of the Defense Forces.

The military published footage of destroyed equipment that was hit by enemy UAVs during evacuation. Another case is participation in the battles near Pokrovsk. The Economist media reported that the Russians have taken under fire control the logistical routes that go through Pokrovsk and Rodynske to Mirnograd.

The "Rubikon" unit of the Russian Armed Forces visited the specified area of the front: the operators have the opportunity not to hit the target immediately, but to hover in the sky, choosing a target. The publication ZDF noted that two brigades of the Defense Forces may be blocked in Myrnograd, the withdrawal of which is complicated by the deployment of drones of the Russian Armed Forces.
