The Armed Forces noticed hand grenade launchers of UGL-40 Ukrainian production: what is their feature (photo)

According to profile journalists, the UGL-40 was created on the basis of the American m203A1 grenade launcher, designed to install M4 on assault on assault rifles. The Ukrainian version was adapted for autonomous use by installing a chassis with an example. In the hands of the Ukrainian military noticed manual single-charged UGL-40 grenade launchers produced by the Ukrainian company Ukrop.

Photo of these grenade launchers posted a NMFTE community telegram that publishes photos and videos of military equipment. According to the profile edition "Militar", the UGL-40 is created on the basis of the American lodging grenade launcher M203A1, intended for installation on the assault rifles M4. However, the UGL-40 was adapted for autonomous use by installing a chassis with an example.

The grenade launcher was also noticed in the equipping of some units together with UAR-15 rifles, which is also produced by Ukrop. The UGL-40 is equipped with a shortened barrel of 224 mm long and uses the treasury principle of recharge. According to the marking, it is compatible with the ammunition of 40x46 mm NATO.

It notes that this is the first public appearance of the UGL-40, earlier information about its development and production has not been advertised, so detailed characteristics are still unknown. Similar in design M203A1 is able to aim at a single target at a distance of up to 150 meters and group goals at a distance of up to 350 meters. It can use a wide range of western ammunition, including fragmentary, cumulative armor-piercing, light noise, gas and cartridges.

The weight of the grenade launcher is 1. 36 kg, but the weight of the chassis with a telescopic example should also be taken into account. According to the publication, from the beginning of the Russian full -scale invasion in Ukraine, nearly 20 different grenade launchers have been codied and admitted in Ukraine, about a third of which was produced in the country. Among them are other single-charged grenade launchers, such as Fort-600.
