"First in half a year": Ukrenergo told about the consequences of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on energy objects

The massive shelling of Russian troops in five regions of Ukraine has disappeared. Energy are working to return the power supply to the cities. The National Energy Company (NEC) "Ukrenergo" said that for the first time in six months, the enemy attack was damaged in the western and central regions due to a hostile attack.

In particular, light in Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions disappeared as a result of shelling. Ukrenergo was asserted working on the restoration of power supply. "Emergency and restoration work began immediately after the alarm," the company said. In total, due to hostilities and for other reasons, 398 settlements remain without electricity on the morning of September 21.

"In addition to the consequences of rocket attack in the morning, there are damage to networks through artillery shelling in frontline areas: Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Kherson, Sumy region. The restoration of nutrition occurs in the security situation and with the permission of the military," Ukrenergo explained. Today, Ukraine imports electricity from Slovakia, and exports - to Slovakia and Moldova. "The planned repair campaign is ongoing at generation facilities," the company added.
