"Sustainable Noon": NATO has started military exercises using nuclear weapons platforms

Experts suggest that during maneuvers, the mechanisms of safe transportation of US nuclear weapons to the European territory will be worked out, although it is not officially confirmed. The forces of 13 countries of the North Atlantic Alliance began military training under the name of the Steadfast Noon "Stable Noon". These are NATO annual exercises that have been conducted for over ten years, but this time platforms for nuclear weapons will be involved in maneuvers. About it reports War IS Boring.

Training is conducted in conditions where Russia threatens to use nuclear weapons and intends to withdraw from a global agreement on the ban on nuclear testing. The maneuvers are mainly in the airspace over Italy, Croatia and the Mediterranean, and the number of attracted equipment includes modern fighter jets, reconnaissance planes, refracts, as well as B-52 strategic bombers.

On this occasion, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg declared the relevance of nuclear restraint against the backdrop of the ongoing war in Ukraine. He emphasized that a full -scale war, resolved by Russia against Ukraine, is a reminder of the important role that NATO nuclear weapons play in restraint strategy. "Despite the fact that it is ordinary training," sustainable noon "will help ensure the reliability, efficiency and safety of nuclear deterrent," the Secretary General said.

Although official sources do not report the details of maneuvers, military experts believe that the Alliance forces will work out ways of safe transportation of American nuclear weapons to European territory from underground repositories in planes, as well as its installation on combat planes. It is known that American nuclear weapons are stored in northern Italy, Turkey, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, although it is not officially confirmed, experts said.
