National Guards 67 days held positions surrounded and defeated the assault detachment of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (video)
Eight fighters of Svoboda battalion of the 4th Brigade of the National Guard "Rubizh" kept the defense of the stronghold near the village of Spirne in the Siverskyi direction for 67 days. For the last three weeks, they have been struggling, being in a full environment. The military shared the details in an interview on Butusov Plus channel, published on November 17. Petro Kuzik, the commander of the Svoboda Battalion, explained that two positions had switched to the special format.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation intensified in the offensive, "selling neighbors", and those for various reasons were forced to leave. "It was necessary to rebuild the defense system, in fact, another perimeter was added the same as we defended, still had to close it," he emphasized. The commander decided to leave the position in the gray zone, and then they were surrounded.
The soldiers and the head manager realized that it was important to keep, because they covered the "good part of the unit". The 25-year-old platoon commander was led by the soldiers Senior Lieutenant Vladislav Stotsky. After graduating from the National Guard Academy, he was divided into the post of deputy commander of the company for work with personnel, but asked "for zero", agreeing to a lower position.
Stotsky remembered how he hid with his subordinates in the armor after the battle to wait a day and go out in the morning. Four defenders received additional food they were delivered by drone. In the morning, the commander asked permission to exit, but received a refusal. The National Guard gathered weapons, grenades, stretch marks and gasoline. He was preparing to defend his position himself, but on August 17 he was ordered to go to Pincher.
Prior to his arrival, the soldiers stayed there for 50 days without communication, but hundreds of everything. It so happened that after 37 days in a hiding place under fire, the commander went out to perform a combat mission in another position. At a distance of 300 meters on both sides was the enemy, and on the other side - a replacement field. The defenders had to act as hidden as possible, and the height of the armor allowed to stand in full height except on their knees.
It is practically impossible to go to the surface, only for combat purposes. The battalion supported the position of drones and firearms, there was a struggle for survival. On September 16, a Russian assault detachment came to the Pincher. The enemy tank approached the armor at a distance of 10 meters. Stotsky failed to stop the tank, but later he realized that if he had hit - the technique would have spread the muzzle and easily destroyed the unreliable embankment from the ground.
Kuzik explained that the technique was moving: two tanks were going ahead, and five armored vehicles with infantry were behind. The first tank was stopped by mines, anti-tank system and FPV-arose. The second tank exploded on a mini, after which the crew jumped and began to retreat. However, armored vehicles traveled tanks and continued movement towards Ukrainian positions. A whole assault platoon was landed from the cars, and the hostile infantry began to move to Pincher.
The senior soldier Roman Omelyanenko remembered how he saw the invaders on the left and on the right and opened fire from the machine gun. Also, enemy soldiers flew grenades. Stotsky said that he could not go out because he did not know where the invaders and fired chaotic. The deceased brother miraculously closed the last hole through which the grenade could be thrown into the defenders. The commander did his best to prevent the invaders from entering.
He understood that the lull would bring all deaths. After the fight, permission to exit, but the defenders were taken too risky. Therefore, they brought out the group one by one, the first of Pincher was sent the wounded. The Kuzik informed that the efforts of the National Guards who kept the position in the environment, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation lost about 50 soldiers and 6 units of equipment.
All three fighters are represented by the commander for the highest award of Hero of Ukraine. Alexander Homyak's body, who lost his life in the melee and rescued his brothers even after his death, could not be taken out of the environment.
