Minnie fields and "Dragon Teeth": The Armed Forces told about the difficulties in the breakthrough of the defense of the Russians in the south
In these areas of the occupied territories there are various engineering structures - anti -tank ditches, concrete barriers, hedgehogs and other obstacles, as well as mine fields. The commander of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told how the Ukrainian Armed Forces solve certain tasks during a counter -offensive.
"Stripes of barriers include anti -tank mine fields, non -dumbbells in the form of anti -tank moats, concrete pyramids (the so -called" Dragon Teeth "), anti -tank hedgehogs, wire obstacles," the statement said. The General noted that the enemy uses mines treacherously, installing them so that they could not be removed. Therefore, a considerable number of engineering units are needed to overcome such barriers.
In order to produce such density in the minefields, the personnel of engineering troops must be able to produce safe corridors for passage by hand and with the help of engineering equipment, the presence of which is insufficient for such a number of barriers. Meanwhile, the Armed Forces Command formed five engineering and saplie battalions among those who have been trained, in particular, abroad.
"Part of the personnel of the units has been trained abroad (about 200 servicemen) and performs tasks as part of certain groups, as well as the demining of de -industrial territories in the Nikolaev, Kherson and Kharkiv regions," Gurega said, adding at the same time about 150 soldiers. abroad. As for special equipment, the engineering units received up to 100 units of engineering tanks, bridge compilers and other means.
"Successful completion of tasks by military engineers and sappers allows our defenders to carry out offensive actions in certain areas and bring the victory closer," - summed up the General of the Armed Forces. We will remind, the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Vadim Skibitsky on August 4 stated that the situation on the battlefield is difficult, but the initiative remains in the hands of the Armed Forces.
