According to law enforcement agencies, a 56-year-old man openly supported the actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, in connection with which he was informed of suspicion of collaborative activity (Part 1 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Investigators found that in November 2022 the man entered a verbal altercation due to the mismatch of political views with visitors to one of the gym in Kharkiv.

The man argued that "Crimea belongs to Russia" and said that he dreams of "full liberation of Ukraine" as soon as possible. However, he did not stop there and also stated that the death of peaceful Ukrainians in an armed conflict with Russia is "war expenses.
