Britain has introduced new sanctions against the Russian Federation for "elections" in the occupied territories of Ukraine

New British sanctions apply to officials involved in last year's fictitious referendums organized to legitimize attempts to annex the territory of Ukraine. The British Government on Friday, September 29, imposed new sanctions against Russia for holding its "elections" in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. This was reported in the press release of the government.

Foreign Minister James Kleverly stated that Britain had imposed sanctions against Russian officials involved in the recent fictitious elections in the Ukrainian regions of Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Lugansk, as well as in illegally annexed Crimea. In particular, 11 individuals and legal entities are included in the new sanction list.

Among these are the organization and high -ranking officials of Russia: they add that these sanctions provide for freezing the assets of these officials and a ban on entry into the United Kingdom. In general, since the beginning of a full -scale invasion of the United Kingdom has imposed sanctions against 1600 individuals and legal entities of the Russian Federation.
