"Feed for free": Russia will send thousands of tons of grain to the countries of Africa (infographics)

The Russian government plans to send several tens of tons of grain to Africa after destroying three times more grain in Ukraine's ports. Russia's Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev has declared free supply of Russian grain to a number of Africa. The RIA Novosti agency told about it. According to Patrushev, the grain will come to six countries in Africa. They plan to send 25-50 thousand tons, the Russian official assured.

He also suggested that "food inflation" and rising prices associated with "instability in the Black Sea" were possible in Europe. At the same time, the minister is confident in Russia, the level of food inflation is "small", so they plan to increase grain exports - it should be greater than 55 million tons. What countries will receive grain, the official did not name.

However, the agency reminded the speech of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at the Summit of Russia-Africa-he listed the following countries: Burkina-Faso, Mali, Eritrea. It should be noted that Patrushev's statement was heard after the grain agreement was broken in July, after which the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation began massive blows on Ukrainian ports and granaries.

In particular, 60,000 tons of grain were burned during one of these blows, and the port infrastructure received such damage that it will be restored for at least a year. The Ministry of Agriculture of Ukraine reported on Twitter that Russia has destroyed almost 200 thousand tons of grain in Ukrainian ports. At the end of 2022, the UN published an infographic of the dependence of Africa on the supply of grain of Ukraine and Russia.

According to infographics, the countries that Putin called, and so the vast majority received grain from the Russian Federation. Meanwhile, Ukrainian grain was only a quarter to Africa - the data of 2021 testify. Most grain went to Asia. It should be noted that in early August 2023 attacks of sea drones on Russian ships took place. On August 4, a drone of 450 kg of explosives was struck near Novorossiysk - then received a hole with a landing ship "Olengorsky Gornyak".

On August 5, the ship was attacked a few kilometers from the Crimean bridge. Later it became known that the SIG oil tanker was damaged, which was carrying aircraft fuel, operating between Syria and the Russian Federation and was under US sanctions. We remind that after the attack of sea drones on the Novorossiysk flew up the course of the Russian ruble: during the day he jumped to almost 100 rubles/USD. And did not stop - grew further.
