Lithuanian demands from car owners with Russian numbers to take them out of the European Union

The exception applies to Russian citizens who go transit to or from the Kaliningrad region. However, there are several specific conditions. European countries continue to impose new restrictions for cars with Russian registration. Lithuania obliged all vehicles registered in the Russian Federation to leave the EU territory. This was reported on the Lithuanian customs office.

The Lithuanian customs stated that cars with Russian numbers that have fallen to the country before the prohibition of entry should leave the country within 6 months from the date of arrival. It also applies to the entire EU territory. This ban does not apply to vehicles used for transit to or from the Kaliningrad region. However, the owner should have simplified transit documents. Transit may not exceed 24 hours. Otherwise, the car owner is threatened with a fine and confiscation of the vehicle.
