Last autumn, the UAVS attacks were allowed the Russians to significantly damage the Ukrainian infrastructure, primarily energy, but later the Armed Forces learned to fight them. According to Alexei Hetman, now the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation uses Iranian drones not so much to cause harm, but for intelligence. Most likely, they seek to identify air defense systems to eliminate them.
At the same time, the military said, the air defense products regularly change their location to be more difficult to detect and destroy them. Alexei Hetman recalled that there were repeated words that Russia allegedly spent all SHahd drones, and the new party from Iran has not yet arrived. Massive attack on February 27 shows that the information is "not very correct", but Ukraine has already built an effective defense system to combat such threats.
In particular, most ShahED drones do not knock down rocket plants, but small arms. Initially, the Armed Forces with the help of radar stations detect drones and determine the direction of their flight, and then the rapid response groups rise on anxiety, look aircraft in the sky and affect the so-called "anti-aircraft-gun" complexes. "In fact, there is no such thing, but it is used to make people understand - we shoot not missiles, but from machine guns.
We have a lot of such weapons," the hetman said. On February 27, the air defense forces knocked out 11 of the 14 UAVs of the ShahED, which launched the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The Air Force of Ukraine noted that the drones flew from the northern direction. The speaker of the Air Force Colonel Yuri Ignat said that Russia has changed the tactics of Shahd.
