Arrived on tourist visas: the Russian Federation has recruited 2000 Nepalese to the war against Ukraine - the media

According to journalists, the government of Nepal is now concerned about the situation and is taking appropriate measures. Russia has recruited approximately 2000 Nepalese men to participate in hostilities against Ukraine. A considerable number of them seek to return because of unacceptable conditions they have to deal with in the ranks of occupation forces. About it reports SkyNews.

"The figure of 2000 people called to the Russian army is based on the testimony of returned soldiers, as well as on Russian immigration data," the newspaper reports. This information was also compared with the estimates provided by campaign activists who support families with those who are still in service or died. In particular, many Nepaleans claim that they were issued student or tourist visas to enter Russia.

Currently, the Nepal government is concerned about the situation and is taking the necessary measures in response. We will remind, on February 11, the CNN agency reported that the Russian Federation recruited almost 15,000 Nepalese to participate in the war against Ukraine. Many of them returned to the injured, and some have never returned. According to journalists, they were promised a salary of at least $ 2,000 a month and an accelerated process of receiving a Russian passport.
