Russia uses "invulnerable" drones on the fiber: expert called their weak place

Ukrainian engineers are already looking for a solution against such UAVs. But even now, the fiber can cling to or burn with the smallest error of the operator. Russian troops attack the positions and equipment of the defenders of Ukraine by percussion coptors, the connection with which is provided by fiber. Aviation expert Anatoly Khrapchynsky in a comment to NV told how much they pose and what disadvantages.

When the data is transmitted on the fiber -fiber direction of the operator, the drones cannot be suppressed by traditional methods of radio electronic wrestling, because there are no radio signals. In addition, the data transmission itself can be much faster and more reliable. However, the technology also has weaknesses. According to Anatoly Khrapchynsky, the drone on the fiber should be very skillfully controlled.

The fiber -fiber coil is under the deputy, so it cannot cling to the screws, but other obstacles may occur on the way. So in the war zone there are constantly explosions, and there is a great risk that the fiber will fall into the fire and burn with the connection. The expert added that Ukrainian engineers have been looking for ways to overcome this threat for a long time and work on counteraction. There are some ways to electronic wrestling that can help against these drones.

"There are definitely some opportunities for, for example, the use of certain electronic struggle to influence the possibilities of these drones. But the engineering community is now actively working on counteraction and has been considering the solution for a long time," the expert says. Back in March, the Ukrainian military noticed a Russian drone with a wire connection. He carried a coil that would be enough for 10 km of flight.
