The expert noted that instead of installation on the "gerbera" the CRPA antenna designed to protect the drone from muffling by means of radio electronic struggle (ERB), the Russians simply glued a plastic lid from the antenna to the foam. However, the antenna itself was not detected on the UAV. "I thought it was difficult to surprise me," Flash wrote. A specialist in radio technologies stressed that the motives of this decision are not clear.

According to him, this case also shows that it is not necessary to evaluate the possibilities of UAVs only for the photo on the network, as it was with drones in Poland. Herbera drones are used by the Russians as false goals, distracting the air defense (air defense) of Ukraine from the more expensive "Shahmed". This UAV consists of cheap materials such as cardboard, plywood and foam, so it is not a pity to lose them. In addition, Gerbers conduct visual intelligence.

Despite the poor quality of video cameras and channels, drones can transmit LTE-channels fixed points of placement of Ukrainian air defense. For this purpose UAVs receive SIM cards of Ukrainian operators. Sometimes the enemy uses gerber drones to strike. In Ukraine, versions equipped with a shrapnel combat part have already been recorded.
