The Alliance counts on the progress of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fight against Russian invaders, but everyone is aware that it will be a difficult process. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in an interview with DPA, which was published on November 10.

According to him, the fighting is in most cases unpredictable, so you need to be prepared for any scenario. "We must be ready for the long term. War is unpredictable. What we know exactly is that what is happening at the negotiation table is inextricably linked to the situation on the battlefield," said Jens Stoltenberg.

It was separately stated that at first everyone understood the fact that the counter -offensive would be difficult, because Russia was also preparing for further actions of the Armed Forces. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has set up defensive lines with mines, tank trenches, as well as with a large number of positions. Currently, NATO Secretary General, only military support can guarantee that Ukraine will remain sovereign and democratic in the future.
