Ukrainian flags on the streets of Denmark cities testify to freedom and courage - the President's appeal to the Danish people on the occasion of the anniversary of the full -scale Russian invasion of Ukraine

Free people of a free country! I can turn to you so, the people of Denmark. I can turn to the people of Ukraine. I turn like that, and this is a luxury in the modern world. The luxury that many only dream of. Our peoples, Ukrainians and Danes, breathe freely. We have freedom like most Europeans. And we will not lose freedom, because we not only dream of it - we fight for it. We have not lost the moment that was decisive. Last year, when the Russian evil began a total war against us, we were not scared.

We are not lost. Ukrainians stood up for the state. The free world has been in defense of Ukraine. And I thank you, the people of Denmark, for not beyond doubt whether our protection should be maintained. I thank you for being aware that freedom cannot only be a dream - it should be actions. Actions to protect life and people, rules and respect, justice and safety. I thank you, the people of Denmark, for your actions! For weapons that helps our defense. For a policy that helps isolate the aggressor.

For his willingness to join our reconstruction after fighting. And of course, for the belief that the project of united and free Europe cannot become complete without the full integration of Ukraine. I know that there were many Ukrainian flags on the streets of many cities of Denmark during this year. I am grateful to you for every such flag of Ukraine in your cities, on your squares. Blue and yellow colors of Ukraine always testify to love. Always testify to the presence of freedom.

So, they testify to the presence of courage. Your courage, the people of Denmark, is a fact. Your courage, Mrs. Prime Minister, is a fact. Your courage, dear members of Denmark folking, is also a fact. As a fact and ours, Ukrainian, courage. So, our will with you will never cease to be a real fact of our lives with you.
