Five to six requirements: Trump thinks of withdrawing sanctions against Russian Federation in exchange for a truce (video)

To spread: Washington conducts deep discussions with Kiev and Moscow for ceasefire in the Russian-Ukrainian war, said President Donald Trump. The President of the United States of America Donald Trump has reported significant progress in negotiations with Ukraine and the Russian Federation on a truce. According to the head of state, there are a number of requirements that Americans should consider.

Trump's statement was heard while meeting with US ambassadors broadcast on the White House YouTube channel. Trump answered the question of a journalist who was interested in the progress of ceasefire in the Black Sea. The US President stressed that Washington has success on "two fronts"-regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war and war in the Middle East. "We are undergoing deep discussions with Russia and Ukraine. And I would say that everything is going well.

So that's all I can report: now there are very, very big negotiations and detailed negotiations on both fronts," he said. Another issue concerned the requirements of the Russian Federation to abolish the sanctions imposed on some Russian companies and banks. In particular, Trump was asked to clarify whether the United States agreed to these requirements for the ceasefire in the Black Sea. The US president did not answer the affirmative, instead explained that the issue was being considered.

"They will look at them, and we think about them now. There are about five to six conditions. We look at them all," the White House Head replied. Commenting on the possible withdrawal of sanctions, Trump did not specify whom it means by the word "they" - the Russian Federation, Ukraine or at the same time both states. It should be noted that on March 25, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the achievements of agreements on a truce in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The ceasefire agreement applies to the moratorium on attacks in the Black Sea and on energy facilities. Kyiv also demands the return of Ukrainians who illegally hold or capture the Kremlin. Instead, Moscow requires the withdrawal of sanctions from "Rosselhozbanka" (access to the SWIFT system), permission to trade in agricultural products and fertilizers transported by ships in the Black Sea.

In the evening, a statement of Russian authorities, published on the portal of President Vladimir Putin, appeared. The statement lists five types of energy facilities that cannot be beaten during a truce. In the first two places - oil refineries and oil and gas storage factories. At the same time, the Kremlin separately stressed that the silence regime will only begin in the event of cancellation of sanctions.
