New Azovstal. Why the battle under Kurakhov can become the main event of the war with the Russian Federation

The Russian offensive in the Donbass is clearly emphasized in the Kurakhiv direction. Analyzing the possible scenarios of events, the military correspondent Bogdan Miroshnikov provides here the greatest battle of war, such a new "Azovstal". Well, the fighting for Kurakhov is already on the horizon. I suggest thinking how events can unfold and what prospects can be. 1. Kurakhov stands on the lupine River, stretching up to 9 km.

From the north, Kurakhov is covered by the eponymous reservoir, which in width is even more than the city. As a result of an enemy attack with the use of airbombs CAC-1500 and ballistic missiles 9M723, the d reservoir's dam was destroyed and the water level fell critically, as in the Volchiy River. 2. Currently, LBZ from the city from the east is 1. 5 km from the partial occupied Ostrovsky. Between this village and Kurakhov there is a bridge through the appendix of the reservoir.

But there is almost no water. But there is a swampy terrain that is difficult enough. The same applies to the potential passage of the invaders through the reservoir from the north to Kurakhov. And there the rainy season begins, so it is almost a kilometer of the reservoir in the narrowest suitable area - from the category of tasks with five stars. 3. In view of the above, the enemy is forced to look for other approaches to Kurakhov. Not everything is so simple there.

Then comes Maximilyanivka, from the western outskirts of which to the city - 3. 5 km. And now fights are ongoing. But there our glorious DShv causes very noticeable losses to the occupiers. And even if the enemy is enough, there is a dugler road to Kurakhov, which is covered with a beam. From it it is possible to restrain the invaders from direct movement to the city from Maximilyanivka. 4. So let's consider other ways. Another option is to move to BC. Mr. Uspenivka and Far.

You can do this from the Katerynivka or Water. Or at the same time from these two directions. From them to Kurakhov - 12 and 15 km, respectively. The route of promotion from Katerynivka is more favorable, because from the water there is a dried fir with floodplains, which is also not a particularly passing place. Katerynivka stands on the same river, but there its width is very small and everything will depend on the village of Antonovka located near the village.

But there is an additional version of the movement from the district of Paraskovivka-Konstantinovka, where the dry fir was already forced and where to Kurakhov 15 km. 5. I think that as long as the main enemy forces will go on a long trip 12-15 km to the southern approaches of Kurakhov, the occupier will also be stormed in the frontal Kurakhove from the east. Such tactics will bring them overly loss, but they do not count with them.

Because the main task is to exhaust our forces to the approach of the main forces of the enemy from the south (Vodyane-Katerinovka-Paraskovka) and the further coverage of the city with the movement on n. Mr Dachne, who will close the fighting for the city. 6. Now let's look at Kurakhov. From the east in the city is a rather large private sector, in the center and in the south - high -rise buildings. But in the western part - a huge industrial zone, where in particular is the Kurakhiv TPP.

The entire industry has an area of ​​~ 8 square meters. km (!) Or in eighteen (!) Vatican or four Monaco. Or almost two areas of Avdeevsky coke. It is possible to compare the territory of the Kurakhiv industry with the territory of the former Azovstal Metrobank in Mariupol. The main thing here will not be to allow the city to be surrounded, that is, to move to the western outskirts of Kurakhov from the flank.

If our forces manage to impose battles by the industry and prevent the coverage of the western part of the city, then you probably realized that the enemy was expecting there. Only with one important clarification-on the "azovstal" ring of coverage was a depth of 70-80 km. And in Kurakhov it may not be. What is the conclusion? Kurakhov's fighting can be one of the largest 10+ years in the whole war. Of course, this is subject to the coverage of the city, because then you will have to leave.
