The Russian Federation has launched a new campaign for misinformation about Zelensky: which narratives are promoting (video)
It is noted that such a campaign, which the occupiers launched on December 1, has the conditional name "vacuum of legitimacy". Its purpose is to misinform both Ukrainians and Russians that the powers of the current President of Ukraine are terminated on March 31. According to Andriy Shapovalov, mostly such fakes are published in the Telegram-channel, however, you can also see them in a social network such as Facebook or YouTube.
According to the CPD, such information was published in 40 sources, and the total coverage was about 3. 5 million views. For the most part, such a misinformation campaign is now aimed at Russian residents. However, such a campaign is being promoted in Ukraine, but to a lesser extent. The main narratives are that Volodymyr Zelenskyy seems to be a usurper who destroys democracy and lose power.
The Center for Combating Misinformation says that the plans of the Russian Federation plan to expand this misinformation campaign to the international information environment. We will remind, in the beginning of December a representative of GUR Andriy Yusov said that Russia is preparing for the distribution in foreign media misinformation campaign. It was to be aimed at the military-political leadership of Ukraine.
