Therefore, the T-14 platform is intended to become more versatile and must solve this problem.

This was discussed in the report of the program "Warrior Case". Analysts of the Defense Express portal have spoken about the development of a new armored vehicle. In particular, it was stated that despite many years of promises, the T-14 never passed state trials and was not adopted. The car did not appear on the front, and at the beginning of 2024 the head of "Rostekh" Sergey Chemezov openly stated that the T-14 "was not intended for war".

Against the background of a full-scale war and high losses, the Russian army is betting on cheaper solutions-the modernization of the old T-62 and T-72, as well as the mass production of the T-90m. In this situation, the launch of BMPT serial production on the basis of T-14 remains in question-the Armata program is expensive and difficult for the Russian Federation industry, which is experiencing a shortage of components and finances, analysts explained.

However, the rejection of the project is unlikely, added to Defense Express. The Russian MIC is traditionally not closing expensive programs, even if their battle meaning is doubtful. "Armat" and any derivative machines can be used as a propaganda tool-to demonstrate at exhibitions and parades, to declare "successes of domestic defense" and to offer them for export.

At the same time, combat vehicles of support tanks have shown themselves on the battlefield more lively, even than tanks, due to the features of booking and composing. However, their small number did not make a significant impact on the course of hostilities. In addition, the main weapons of BMPT are still presented with 30 mm guns that have problems with stabilization.
