The special forces held back the enemy for 16 hours until the reinforcement group came. The fighters of GUR Ministry of Defense told the Times. According to the fighters, at the beginning of the offensive operation of the Russian Federation in Kharkiv region, hostile groups of special forces under the cover of artillery fire on one of the border plots at night penetrated through Ukrainian support points and began to attack Ukrainian units from the rear.

A group of GUR intelligence officers under the command of a 24-year-old soldier in six people was surrounded by an enemy who prevailed quantitatively. "We saw how they work professionally and harmoniously - it was at a high level. They had a Kalashnikov machine of the last sample, night vision devices. All their movement was covered with a good fire," said one of the special forces of GUR with the call sign "Drago".

The soldiers decided to take the risk and invited the fire of Ukrainian artillery to themselves, hoping for the strength of the dugs. It worked. "The artillery killed at least three of them, and the Russians retreated. Then our group of reinforcements came," Drago said. According to him, after that there were near rifle fights. During them, two scouts from the group were seriously injured. One of them managed to save. One scout was killed.

"The position in the village of Krasne, Kharkiv region, kept a group of intelligence officers within 16 hours, which allowed the security and defense forces of Ukraine to regroup, stabilize the situation and restrain the enemy from further promotion," - said in the press service of the Ministry of Defense. The commander of the Drago Group for his actions in battle was awarded the Order "For Courage" of III degree.
